The garage did the work yesterday and it came back ok. The patch is reasonably neat, but could do with a bit of tidying up with filler. They also painted the repair, which they weren't asked to do, and got a good colour match. I wasn't charged any extra for the painting and the price was as per their original quote of #94.
The result is that I have a fully MOTed spitfire, which didn't cost too much to fix and is ready for the summer sunshine!
