This is getting interesting; I just went to check and
it seems that the replacement diff is a GE-prefixed
one, so it seems it is a Herald-based diff, correct?
Also, on the current diff, the drive shaft flange is
round while the axle flanges are "squarish". However,
on the replacement unit, all the flanges are
"squarish", even the one that bolts to the drive
shaft. The current axle flanges are round.
Does this mean that it is not going to be a straight
bolt-on replacement? How would you recommend going
about this? I hope this doesn't mean that I have to
find another replacement unit....
