Just started looking at my steering rack (its out of the car) and I can make
the rack move with finger pressure. But when I move it I can feel some
resistance at some points like there was something clogging one of the teeth
on the rack. I haven't looked inside yet (still cleaning the outside) but so
far everything on the car that can wear out has! So I pretty sure that it
needs attention.
What are my options? 1. Repair it myself? 2. send it out to be repaired?
3. replace it? Guess I just listed my options LOL. OK whats the best option?
Can I get parts and rebuild it myself? I'd prefer option 1 or should I go with
options 2 or 3.
TIA
