This post is submitted to lists for the benefit of overseas based enthusiasts likely to be in the UK on vacation on the dates shown and who would like to take part in a classic car activity in the company of British enthusiasts on their own home ground. All runs are no more than 125 miles in length. Overseas visitors can use vehicles from http://www.theopenroad.co.uk/ and can choose from MGBGT, MGB RV8, Stag, TR4A, TR6PI, TR7 and Jaguar 'E' Type. The Open Road premises are no more than 4 miles from the Start/Finish point at a pleasant hotel near Stratford upon Avon 25th APRIL The GRAB-A-GRANNY-RUN 6th JUNE The HEDGE BOTTOMS RUN 25th JULY The SPR-IDGET-FIRE RUN 19th SEPTEMBER The WARHORSE RUN. This visits three historically important battlefield sites - Bosworth Field (1485 - Wars of the Roses)) Edgehill (1642 - First of the Civil War) Naseby (1647/8? Last of the Civil War) 17th OCTOBER The TEST HILLS RUN The route visits all the Test Hills used by British auto manufacturers from Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford and Abingdon in the 1920's and early 1930's. Highly likely a large number of cars will be navigated by people who are either seriously visually impaired or registered blind) 7th NOVEMBER The GOLDEN LEAVES RUN - autumn colours of breathtaking beauty in a superb hill region. The routes we will be travelling make extensive use of quiet country roads wherever possible and will take you into countryside that no tourist bus would EVER visit. In other words, you'll see English countryside that only the Brits know! All runs are charged at GBP20 (US$37 approx) and this includes Morning Coffee before the start, Road Book and windscreen event board + the fuel you'll use. A pub Lunch and the Optional Carvery Supper on your return are to your additional cost.
