Assuming that the jet hasn't ovalled, you may be able to get away with a
just
a needle replacement. I had the same problem with a low mileage 79 spit
I just purchased. I can't figure out how the needle got so bad in 63,000
miles.
Luckily the one from my 78 spitfire with 200,000 miles was in better
condition.
Just swapped needles and mpg went from 22 to 29.

Subject: Looking for a Carb
Well giys after tinkering and tinkering i have finally
gave up and decided that i need another CD150 Carb. I
have it as leaned out as possible and i cant get it to
stop carboning up the plugs. Ever since ive had this
car the BYPASS Valve on the side has been all broken
up.. So i have had it blocked off with a gasket..
If anyone has a CD150 for sale let me know it would be
greatly appreaciated.
