USB OM w/ "147/000" null msg. (30Apr2014)(JE-MB)
E07 notes:
This station seems to start transmitting a carrier at least 5 or so
minutes ahead of the broadcast, which is done in AM. In the case of
12108 kHz today they were testing it 20 minutes ahead for a few
seconds, then on continuously from 10 minutes out until the end of the
broadcast. The 12108kHz carrier was very noisy, the 10708kHz and
9208kHz carriers much cleaner. This station also sends out 1 or 2
short tones (approx 1200hz) at varying times prior to the actual
broadcast.
S28 notes:
The interference today consisted of an "Air Raid" Siren heard at
1944utc, followed by the famous "Rick Roll" music we all know at
approx 1948utc. An announcer afterwords could barely be heard.
Unclear if this interfering station was local to NL webSDR location;
chat feature there seemed to suggest signal was heard in several other
European countries.
