I have recently started up a powerlifting and strongman training club at my uni (7 members in total at the moment).

I am looking to find some actual research conducted on events such as tyre flipping, farmers walks, truck pulling, stone lifting etc, but have been unable to find anything except a few website articles which just have the authors' opinions.  Does anyone know of any published data on these events particularly from a biomechanical or physiological perspective?

I have some students who may be keen to conduct some research in this area, is anyone else interested in collaborating in this endeavour?

Thanks

Justin
