Sports Dietitian Job No 735/452 $68 005 - $72 671 per annum plus superannuation
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Sports Dietitian to provide a range of 'best practice' sports nutrition services and expertise to a portfolio of client groups, including athletes preparing for the Beijing 2008 Olympics and beyond. Utilising your knowledge of contemporary issues in elite sport you will be expected to contribute to the department's leadership role in the field of applied sports nutrition. You will be responsible for providing a fully integrated range of proactive sports nutrition services and programs for designated AIS and National Sporting Organisation's athletes, external 'camp-based' programs and corporate partners. Tertiary qualifications in nutrition and dietetics, recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia, registration as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with the Dietitians Association of Australia and full membership with Sports Dietitians Australia is required. Considerable experience in working closely with elite athletes in a performance focused environment is also expected.
