Hi Jingrong,
Thank you for your comments and questions.
The mapping method in this draft does not involve the processing of port
information and the maintenance of state. It is based on the mapping of IPv6
mapping prefix and IPv4 address block. When the destination address of IPv4
packet matches its IPv4 address block, this mapping will give the forwarding
guidance of IPv4 packet delivery in IPv6-only network, which is different from
the mapping method defined in the relevant RFCs of MAP-T/MAP-E. The approach in
this draft supports both encapsulation and translation. This is the current
consideration. The draft is at the early stage, you are welcome to give more
comments and opinions.
Best Regards
Guozhen Dong

Hi Guozhen and authors,
Thanks for introducing your I-D.
I have read this I-D roughly, and noticed the following description in section
3:
When a new IPv6 packet arrives at PE2, PE2 parses its Locator part.
If it matches the IPv6 mapping prefix instantiated by itself, it
decapsulates the packet according to the instructions in Function, ……
So my understanding is that, only Map-E is considered in current revision.
Do you consider Map-T also in this document in the future ?

Jingrong

draft-dong-spring-sr-4map6-segment-00.txt
Hello everyone,
We have just submitted a new draft, which is about 4map6 Segment for IPv4
Service delivery over IPv6-only underlay networks. Since this is the first
submission, there must be many defects in it, we look forward to receiving more
comments, suggestions and even criticism.

Abstract:
This document defines a new type of segment for Segment Routing,
i.e., 4map6 segment, which is a mapping rule-based IPv4/IPv6
conversion function running in PE nodes. This segment can be used
for IPv4 service delivery over IPv6-only undelay networks.
