The exceptions address maximum ceiling temperatures in excess of 100F, OH and EH Occupancies, and specific locations in accordance with 5-3.1.4.2. NFPA-13(2007) 8.3.2.1 "Unless the requirements of 8.3.2.2, 8.3.2.3, 8.3.2.4 or 8.3.2.5 are met, ordinary temperature-rated sprinklers shall be used throughout buildings." Sections .3.2.2, 8.3.2.3, 8.3.2.4 , 8.3.2.5 are merely rewrites in positive language of the previous exceptions. If not, then you should use the temperature ratings as described in NFPA 13. What advantage would there be to using 175 degree sprinklers only?
