The RTI of the links will be very similar. The response time will not. The elements in both sprinklers will be low RTI, but the one with greater spacing will be slower. Whether that creates a problem would require looking at where a fire might start in relation to the two sprinklers.

I have been looking at an existing hotel building where each guest room has
a Central GB-LO extended coverage sidewall sprinkler covering the sleeping
area and a Central Model H sidewall covering the space between the sleeping
are and the room door. Since the GB-LO's are under recall, they are going to
be replaced, most likely with Tyco TY-FRB K8.0 extended coverage sidewalls.
My question is this; the Model H is a standard response sprinkler and the
TY-FRB's are listed for both standard and quick response. Even though it is
listed for SR, I assume that the response time is in QR territory. Is there
going to be a problem mixing these two sprinklers? The demand area is the
two sprinklers and the FRB spacing is 16x22 and we are using UL criteria.
