Todd:
Your probably right about the spelling. But we never had any problem finding
a coating / Painting contractor to apply it at their facility in their paint
booths. Usually the same guy's that paint water tanks.(Where its also used
on the interior, and field applied)
2007 section 8.16.4.2 has more about protecting the "system" from corrosion

Thom,
I think you mean "Imiron". This is a two-part epoxy coating that they use
over gelcoat on fiberglass boats as well as other similar applications
(One local firm paints railroad cars with the stuff). It's a very
specialized product and may have to be applied by a specialized
contractor. I'm not even sure it could be reliably done on pipe and
fittings in place. It's also nasty health-wise and the solvents are very
flammable. Methinks there must be better arrangements.

Off site applied epoxy like "Emeron" with the appropriate primer has
lasted fairly we'll, but the field applications never seem to hold up.

I would appreciate the members' opinion regarding the type of coating
that
would provide the best corrosion protection for near seaside
installation.
