Forum, We are preparing a design proposal for a customer who buys EPS in block form and in limited quantities, cuts these blocks into various forms or layers for applying to wood tree house components. These EPS forms then go into a paint spray booth for application of polyurea.
All this is done in a metal prefab warehouse with 20 max ridge height, no high piled storage. Most of this work with wood and EPS is considered manufacturing. The entire warehouse and paint spray booth will be protected with sprinklers. Ive looked at the MSDS sheets for EPS; it appears that the flame spread rating in less than 25. Question: Will OH Grp. 2 suffice for sprinkler protection over this type of manufacturing? Any comments would be appreciated. Ed Cyr Alpha Fire Sprinkler Corp.
