I have a question about Hanging Pipe on a Trapeze. I need to hang 2 sections
of 4" Sch 10. I looked up the Modulus required and it is 0.34 for the 4' Span I
need. I see several angles and pipes I can use for this.
I will be using angle iron for the trapeze and attaching it to the same
size angle bolted with 1/2" rod through the filled cinder block walls on both
sides. I plan on using either 2"x 2"x 3/8" or 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 1/4" angle. I
can then bolt the cross piece to the pieces on the walls.
My question is "Do I need to double the modulus to hang 2 pipes from
the same trapeze?"
