Is your Tee on top of your 3'-0 pipe bullheaded or OTR?

If your riser is 7'-0 or under-then one flex. coupling at the bottom of a
bull headed tee would be sufficient. If it is over 7'-0 in length than we
have had to put a short spool piece at the bottom consisting of two F-G
pieces with a FC on it then continuing with the DCDA etc.
When you put your 4-way brace on, that will stabilize everything or an
additional Riser brace may be necessary for piece of mind.

We have also been approved by putting our FC at the top and having our
clearance around the pipe per 9.3.4 at the floor where the stub in comes in.

Hello sprinklerforum,

Has anybody had an AHJ require a flexible coupling within 24" of the
floor in a system? How flexible is that coupling going to be with a
DCDA Backflow (vertical installation) and then the Alarm Valve
sitting on it? I also have flexible couplings on both sides of the T
on top of the 3 feet of pipe on top of the alarm valve that he does
not consider to be the top of the "rise". Am I that far off base
  with this?
