Sound baffles are exactly what they are. They are in the gym which has an open roof structure with bar joist and the panels are pretty much hanging from the top of the deck to the bottom of the bar joist. I think I came up with a feasible layout yesterday, not as many heads as I first thought. We'll see how it goes.....

Hanging within the bar joist spaces? I had a similar situation with sound baffles hanging below a concrete-t construction... made the architects / engineers arrange the baffles so that the spray distribution patterns would not be affected according to the obstruction rule(s) of upright sprinklers... They ended up obliging and reconfiguring the baffles to allow the sprinkler to maintain code and listing(s). I've dome one of these in the past and ended up with a blue bazillion heads, had to use Viking 2.8 k's to get the calc's to work. Has anybody else had to deal with these things? Any head layout tips? Anything ?
