This article was in the latest Sprinkler Age Weekly NewsBrief that I
just received.
Does anyone have more information regarding the height of this complex.
Was it 4-stories with a 13R system or was it 5-stories?...or was it
1-story parking with 4-stories of residential? The fire photos on-line
are devastating.

I'm just curious because of the statement made by the attorney regarding
lack of sprinklers in the attic.

from The Morning Call - Aug. 19, 2008
A construction worker removing steel frames with an acetylene torch
accidentally started a fire that destroyed two apartment buildings and
left nearly 400 people homeless. Workers at the construction site did
not take sufficient fire safety precautions, Attorney Robert Mongeluzzi
said. The occupied buildings also did not have sprinkler systems in the
attic, he said. ''That would have doused the flames,'' Mongeluzzi said.
''It never would have burned down.''
