During a rainstorm some years ago a portion of a roof collapsed (clogged scuppers) in a local bowling alley. The system came down also and so the news reported there was water damage caused by the sprinklers (naturally). When I got there the rain had abated but there was still lots of water inside the building. So as Paul Harvey might say, now you know why they put gutters inside bowling alleys.
