(CSFD) Sent: Tuesday, February 10, 2009 12:51 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Sprinkler SAVE See attached photos. This occurred last week. A small fire on an 2nd floor exterior balcony of a 3-story apartment complex (with basement). The fire was extinguished by the sidewall sprinkler on the balcony. I'm working with the apartment complex in gathering figures as to the total damage costs as compared to if the fire gutted the unit (essentially). Then to say the sprinkler system saved "x" amount of dollars. Rather than the "negative" tone typically read such as dollar loss was "X" or water damage cost "X". Once I get those numbers I'll post again.
