I have a noncombustible space above light hazard occupancy suspended ceiling tile with 4" clearance from the bottom of the tee channel to the bottom of the purlins. The purlins are 10½" deep and spaced at 5' OC with the roof pitched 1 in 12. The wall edge at the high point parallel to the purlin goes to the deck. The wall perpendicular to the purlins running down the slop only goes to the bottom of the purlin. The other two walls are exterior walls. Do I need heads above the ceiling tile protecting the noncombustible space above since the wall is not to the deck? The space not above the suspended ceiling tile is OH II hazard. Nothing is nor should be stored in this space. Do I need to protect beyond the OH II and over the light hazard a certain distance? I can't find if/where its addressed in NFPA 13(2002). We're talking 5 openings above the wall and into the annular space between purlins of 10½" x 5'-0" all on one wall to 5 partially separated voids of 168.6 cubic feet. What say you?
