What they said was SOME ran for 8000. They quoted the best scenario. Did
they actually run 100 and 1 made it here by luck? Was it component bench
testing extrapolated and not the whole unit really running under normal
conditions? Did most fail at something very much less than 8000? What is
the average? What if it's 3000 hours average, do you care SOME made it to
8000? Don't fall for the marketing unless you are buying from me.

Subject: RE: Re[2]: Air compressors

Got this off of Dewalt/Emglo user manual: (Dewalt bought Emglo)

"Duty Cycle: This air compressor pump is capable of running
continuously. However, to prolong the life of your air compressor,
it is recommended that a 50%-75% average duty cycle be
maintained; that is, the air compressor pump should not run more
than 30-45 minutes in any given hour."

But I have to agree, 8000 hours for the motor and air compressor is
impressive, if that's accurate.

Gheez, that's one heck of a compressor.
Thanks,
Russell

"They have run some for over 8000 hours straight without failure."
