I believe a bucket will do. 13.5 Pressure Reducing Valves and Relief Valves 13.5.1.3 A partial flow test adequate to move the valve from its seat shall be conducted annually. Handbook Commentary: The test required in 13.5.1.3 is intended to exercise the valve and ensure that it is not obstructed and will re-seat. Similar text is in 13.5.2 Hose Connection Pressure Reducing Valves and 13.5.3 Hose Rack Assembly Pressure Reducing Valves. and 13.5.4 Master Pressure Reducing Valves. What section and edition says that? And are you actually talking pressure reducing or pressure regulating valve? I'd love to help but when we get potentially partial quotations from undefined sources it's just too much work to have to search all the 25s and guess we're talking about something in the standpipe section and then find exactly what sentence is quoted. I like to see where the sentence is in the hierarchy as well as the information surrounding it and possibly if there's commentary. The questions I can typically answer off the top of my head without equivocation are typically not the type asked by this learned assemblage.
