Nicky,

Take this for what it is worth as I am certainly NOT an engineer or chemist
...

I just attended a wonderful one day open house program at the FM Fire
Research Center in Rhode Island USA and among the various things they
demonstrated to us was a dust explosion. Quite an impressive fireball and
shockwave was had by all ....

The fuel was about 1 pound of phenolic resin dust which meant nothing to me
that day except it was amazing to experience from 50 feet away behind a
shield. So if you were to ask me .... I'd say for absolute certain it is a
hazardous dust and worthy of special engineering all around, not just
sprinkler design.

Good luck.
