About 8 years ago, we had a fire in Stonington, right before Christmas, where a father and 3 young children were killed (Spontaneous combustion - oily rags in a bucket). It still resonates today; although now mostly with people in the fire biz. Residential sprinklers would have given the four a much better chance at survival.
This is something the community in MS will never forget. Hopefully it will give some force to residential sprinkler legislation.
