Good afternoon everyone. I am looking for a code reference (that I think exists), but I don't know where it is located. Is there an exception that allows us to omit protection, or provide limited protection, above a ceiling when there is only a small opening around the perimeter? Something in the neighborhood of only protecting around the opening to above the ceiling.
