No problem here. That is precisely one of the many benefits of the forum.
Now if someone else could’ve said it before me, I would’ve liked that
better.
Good thing I always use tee's w/plugs, huh?

I only responded to begin with because I just saw a job where the DP were
screwed into the bottom of 3" BL with weld outlets, and the AHJ asked how it
should have been done.

We're all here to learn, if I could just give up being wrong so often then I
wouldn't need this forum. Well no hope there, carry on all.

You are correct, sorry for any confusion I put in anyone's brain for that
short period and thank you Thom for catching that and correcting me.

Bobby, you may want to look at that again, the DS-1 only allows you to use a
1"CPVC x 1"FM adapter by Tyco in wet systems, and suggests the use of Fig.
12 for wet systems, nowhere does it allow the use of a coupling. Wet or Dry.

In a WET pipe system Tyco DS-1 allows the use of a 1x1 NPT female adapter. I
should've said when listing allows after my statement.

It's been a while since I looked at ALL MFG.'s literature for Dry Pend. But
I don't recall any that were OK to screw into a coupling.
What brand are you using bobby?

Or a coupling, but all of the flex drops I have seen have a ¾ or ½ reducer
on the end.

I don't think they will fit the DP needs to be installed into a tee.
