It is too bad the article referenced the water damage and not that structure, and more importantly, the people were all saved. Water damage is easy to deal with when you compare it to a structure that has been gutted and compromised by fire. Some new carpet, drywall, and paint....your done. Besides, who doesn't enjoy a freshly painted room?
How do we influence/educate the news reporters to reflect the important role sprinklers play in the protection of people and property. With no sprinklers the fire department arrives to a fire that has developed beyond the original space and smoke development has filled half the structure overcoming more victims.....a little water damage is NOTHING compared to what could have been......
