I forgot to add that on exposed risers we have also used "Roof Fire Dept.
Connections" that work well too.
Potter-Roemer 5871 - 5892 series.

Subject: RE: DCVA test connetion

The Military (NAVFAC PACDIV) requires a test header installed on the riser,
similar to the fire pump test header. We typically install a Potter-Roemer
5862 or (3).
Don't know that they ever use it again after we turn the systems over to the
local guy's, but they work nice during start-up and testing.

Subject: DCVA test connetion

What have you double check folks been using for the flush test valves? Got
a system with a 700ish demand no pump. So I'm thinking the 2" main drain
isn't big enough. Does someone make a FDC like thing with male threads?
Then I'd have a 4" BFV on the inside to control the flow? Sound right?
Could I just straight pipe a 3" but then I'd have no way to put a hose
monster on? Hose monster to dissipate flow as I don't think we need to
actually measure and record flow.
