There are unique UL listings for hangers vs restraint and bracing. UL
Standard 203 is for hangers, while UL 203A refers to seismic
applications.

Subject: Are Seismic Braces considered hangers?

Where in NFPA 13 or elsewhere does it state that a seismic brace is not
a pipe hanger? I seem to recall this stated explicitly somewhere but
cannot place it.
