There are probably 7 - 3 person crews at each facility. That is 21 people. If they are replaced by robots, that means the 21 people are expendable. Assume 6 can be absorbed in to other jobs, that means 15 would be laid off. Times 50 facilities is 750 more people out of work from jobs that won't come back. Do the robots provide a higher level of protection or allow safe passage into potentially contaminated areas or is this just a money saving deal? Another case of technology solving one problem and creating another.
