This is a great story but we really need to, as I believe another
forumite said recently, get these reporters talking about the what if
had there not been a sprinkler. How do we get this into their
collective consciousness? It seems that since the Fire Service has
made a concerted effort to talk about sprinklers more of these stories
mention the good work of the sprinklers and the tragedy when there are
none, but when they're there there's always the water damage aspect
emphasized (not in this story), the what is, rather than the potential
devastation from fire, the what otherwise coupled have been. Somehow
we need to get these points closely tied with the although there was
water damage from the sprinklers the potential for greater to absolute
damage and loss of life was averted at the cost of a few wet things.
