Ah yes.... the beauty of TSHC is that it saves the file to a plain text
file. This means if you have any programming experience whatsoever (even
BASIC) you can design your own front end interface for inputting data.
Although I use Hydra Calc I've played around with TSHC and created an excel
spread sheet with data entry similar to HASS's layout. Then you click on
SAVE and it spits it out as a plain text file that TSHC can read in and
calculate. Makes for even easier data entry.

When I have more time I would like to purchase TSHC but I will probably toy
around with it some more before pulling the trigger when I get more time.
The good thing is it's only $300.

Hydra Calc is good as a standalone program and is what I use on a daily
basis. I think I paid $2,500 for it but it never expires. To receive updates
to the software you have to subscribe to their update plan which I pay $15 /
month. Some of their software is quirky though - I honestly believe they
were learning programming as they went. Also, the USB security lock is
annoying but there are ways around that - and if you lose your key you
basically lose your software (watch out for any disgruntled employees).

Of course HASS is pretty straight forward and I've enjoyed using it very
much in the past but their fees are THE most ridiculous in the industry!

If I were doing it all over again I would probably check out The Simply
Hydraulic Calculator (TSHC) first (since it's shareware) and see if that
will fit your bill.

Whatever you do, stay away from CALCER (Tim Frost Design).
