We've done 13R for NAVFAC at .05, but they required that we arbitrarily
double the design area as they also do for area/density calcs. So a
four-sprinkler design became an 8-sprinkler design, with a 250 GPM hose
stream allowance. However, this was a subjective ruling by the Navy's
FPE (same person for three projects) and I'm sure that it's codified.

Does anyone know if the Navy will allow a density of .05 in a 13R
building?
Thanks,
Greg
