I'd be very careful of the type of "Lattice" no many meet the intent of 3.7.2 of 13, 2007.
3.7.2* Unobstructed Construction. Construction where beams, trusses, or other members do not impede heat flow or water distribution in a manner that materially affects the ability of sprinklers to control or suppress a fire. Unobstructed construction has horizontal structural members that are not solid, where the openings are at least 70 percent of the cross-section area and the depth of the member does not exceed the least dimension of the openings, or all construction types where the spacing of structural members exceeds 71⁄2 ft (2.3 m) on center. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Brian Harris Sent: Monday, March 28, 2011 11:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Lattice Quoting a job that has several small offices that have lattice ceilings, the same type of lattice you would put around the bottom of a porch. The walls do not go to the deck and there are upright heads throughout. Does anyone see any reason for adding a pendent head below the lattice? It's probably 75% open.
