If the ESFR is providing more water delivery density than would be required
by
what NFPA calls for in delivery density, then yes, ESFR will be sufficient
(or more
than sufficient) to put your solid commodity fire out. However, if you have
a spray fire with
hydraulic fluid (proclivity of the fluid catching on fire depends on its
flashpoint and auto-igntion temperature among other factors), an ESFR or
NFPA sanctioned system is not going to put it out. You will need
dry-chemical
and maybe foam. Shutting down the power to the injection
molding machine should end the spray fire, in which case you just have a
pool
fire. If the hydraulic fluid is a Class III-B, which many of them are,
then the ESFR or NFPA system should keep things cool enough until the
unconstrained pool fire either burn out [ several minutes], or hand
extinguishers
can be brought over for the kabosh..

It would be good to have several 25-lb manual extinguishers, apply quantity
as suitable to the hazard. Hopefully they will never need the
dry-chemical
extinguishers, but...
