Here is an old thread that came close, but did not answer a question I had...
2010 NFPA 20 1 diesel, 2 electric Fire Pumps 4? jockeys deluge systems, high-rise systems, DIPA systems, It is understood that pump pressure sensing lines will be plumbed between last check valve and last control valve, which are different locations for JP versus FP. But is it OK, per NFPA, to use pressure sensing lines for FP's that ARE redundant that come from the same tap? I don't see where a violation is at. Thoughts on best practices warmly accepted. -- Scot Deal Excelsior Fire/Al Ilham Engineering Consultants gsm: +968 952 87345 (go Eagles) Date: Fri, Jun 10, 2011 at 1:47 AM Subject: RE: Pump, Tank, 1000 ft suction line..... ... Naturally they had the sensing lines coming off a common point, and while the sensing lines are to come off between the discharge check and gate on either pump, the check is supposed to be on the pump side; these guy installed the gate, then the check- then the sensing line T. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
