C900 pvc is acceptable for underground fire mains, is there a reason to think
it wouldn't be suitable for the remote FDC? Only issue I could see would be
with bracing the vertical which would probably be galv steel so that you didn't
twist or strain the 90 at the base of the vertical piece.

Subject: Re: UG pipe to remote FDC

Well I don't have a code book in front of me but I don't believe it can be.
Because of the pressure rating. Now if the check valve is not at the FDC but
inside the building perhaps that's acceptable.

Because when the fire department pumps in to it, I'm not exactly sure, but the
pressures should not be that high. But if the check valve is out by the FDC you
would have to test that pipe to 200psi.

So DR-14 pipe would be required or CPVC.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I can recall by memory right now.
