I've put a few K8s over truck dock overhangs and the like, but due to the new
restrictions on AF concentrations we've ripped the only one our current client
has out and replaced it with Tyco's ECOH dry sidewalls since we can't even hit
lowest recorded temp protection in the lower midwest with the maximum
concentrations allowed, not to mention the maintenance costs associated with
premix only AF, full refill only etc. I can't imagine an application where
smaller K would make much sense in a commercial occupancy other than where
construction features limited spacing pretty severely.

Subject: Commercial Antifreeze

The Research Foundation is starting a new test project for antifreeze in
commercial systems and for my information does anyone use k2.8, k3.1, k4.2,
k11.2 or other sprinklers in commercial antifreeze systems with any regularity?
Here in the north country we use k5.6 primarily. I am not asking about ESFR
antifreeze systems, these would be systems that are not ESFR Freezer systems or
any residential systems, just other commercial/industrial systems.

I would really appreciate the Forum's (coast-to-coast and border-to-border)
input in the next hour or so. Sorry for the short notice.

Thanks in advance,
