Here is a link to an excellent course of basic fire service hydraulics and it's applications: http://home.honolulu.hawaii.edu/~jkemmler/chapter7.htm
Specifically for your issue the formula for finding the horizontal reach of a fire stream is: Horizontal Reach= ½ x Nozzle pressure + 26 feet (HR= ½NP + 26) This is based on a nozzle size of 3/4" for every 1/8" over add 5 feet to the 26 feet. Best Horizontal reach is an angle between 30-34° Maximum effective vertical reach is an angle between 60-75° Yours truly, Capt. Frank J. Their question to me is how far away from the tank? I have looked through Guardian Equipment data sheets but cannot locate a throw chart to determine distance. How have you positioned these?
