WARNING!!! If you install Raven heads read the entire installation instructions
on the tech data sheet to your foreman and then have him read it back to you.
Then give him an ounce calibrated torque wrench, instruct him on the proper use
of the tool and then check to make your insurance policy is up to date. These
heads are very suseptable to damage during installation and are to be installed
to 7 pounds minimum and 14 pounds maximum. That's roughly slightly less than
hand tight. After installation, inspect the sprinkler for scratches or dents on
the painted cap, and FYI, that cap IS the fusible link! Good luck!

That's the one Steve, couldn't recall the name. Used successfully in a local RB

Look into the Tyco Raven or an eqivalent. Impact resistant, with a locking
escutcheon.

Hello Sprinklerforum,

The local city owned facility is having trouble with racquet balls
hitting the concealed sprinkler heads and knocking the covers off. They
are open to suggestions and so am I. The balls are hitting at an angle on
the rebound from the wall at a shallow angle.

Any Ideas for a concealed head guard? I am thinking maybe a 1"x 1" angle
iron bolted to the ceiling as a deflector 3-5 inches before the head.
