That is a well presented thought, Steve. Further on that thread, instead of beating-someone-over-the-head for their decision (which we have not necessarily done here on this Forum within this question), if we allow some 'wiggle room' for the other person to come to a comfortable change-of-decision--change might come from that someone sooner.
So hold our thoughts on how dumb someone's decision seems to us, and consider being part of the support group they probably don't recognize that they need, in order for them to arrive at a changed decision. We should all be working in the same direction (public health) -- kum-bay-ah drum circle not needed; the problem often is egos/fear-of-failure prevent many from changing their mind. That and there needs to be a stronger culture encouraging and rewarding professionals who exercise judgment, vis a vis prescriptions.
