Every diesel I've done always had a flex connection between the engine and
the muffler.

Subject: RE: Diesel pump exhaust flexible

There's nothing to prohibit the use since it's a requirement to isolate
engine vibration from the structure.

Subject: Diesel pump exhaust flexible

Is there anything in NFPA 20 (or any other related code) which prohibits
the use of the flexible connector on a diesel pump exhaust taking up
misalignment between the outlet of the engine and the exhaust riser?

I think it's bad practice but I would like a reference or code to back up
my thoughts.

Thanks

Spencer
