I've never seen crushers protected with deluge system before. The crushers I've had experience with had low pressure steam injected directly into the crusher mills. They generally have a high volume air flow through the mill to pick up the coal dust and transport it to the boiler. The transport air flow is hot, around 400 f. Introducing water into that environment would cause a steam explosion.
