My apologies that a number of “vacation messages” slipped through the filters during the past few weeks. Our software uses filters to zap such messages, but obviously the filters didn’t work. We are tweeting the filters to reduce the probability that they will get through in the future…. but the filters aren’t perfect and never will be.
Generally we catch problems like this pretty fast. Unfortunately, the most recent examples occurred while some on staff (including me) were traveling and not accessing the forum. I ask a favor from subscribers if such events occur in the future — please send email DIRECTLY TO ME outlining the problem. If I have access to the Forum email, I will likely have already fixed the problem - but I don’t usually check the forum messages when I am traveling so I won’t see it. Griping about it on the forum sends your gripe to 700 people, but it probably isn’t sending it to me. Send me a DIRECT email to me (or Roland) and we will get right on it as soon as we can.
