Just received a correction letter regarding a Frat House at a local
university. The 3 story building is a steel/concrete except for the Roof
Structure which is all FRT wood materials. No sprinklers required per NFPA
13 in concealed attic space.

How do I argue with this "logic"???

"3. Add sprinklers to attic space. This location has a history of residents
accessing the attic area and also breaching the ceiling and walls of the
rooms to "expand their living space" into the attic."

I guess we should have done more research on this project before bidding
the job with no attic sprinklers???

Thanks,
