As a Risk Control Engineer for an insurer, these places have scared me for a while. Based on early (and rarely to believed reports) some plumbers were working in the building on a lower level.. I'm willing to bet it was Hot Work gone wrong with the added impairment of the sprinklers because some plumbers helper shut off the Sprinkler Protection, thinking it was part of the domestic supply.
