I hate to tell you but the below changes nothing. I don't see where mechanical rooms without stockpiles are addressed. Mechanical rooms with stockpiles by DESIGN are not all that common. I'm not arguing in PRACTICE they are usually used for storage. FWIW I treat them as OHII but in tight water situations when they are small or only have air handlers then OHI would suffice.
