With regards to options; #1 - deflector 1-6 inches below the member to a maximum of 22" #2 - deflector at or above the bottom of the member to a maximum of 22" (obs rules from 8.6.5.1.2 must be followed) #3 - Installed in each bay to a maximum of 12" #4 - Wood joists (NA) #5 - Concrete tees, deflector 1" below the member with no maximum deflector to ceiling distance.
You're not limited to #5, but you can use it if #1 or #2 will not work due to the depth of the tee. Hope that helps. Eric V. Section 8.6.4.1.2 (2007) says that heads must be installed per one of the listed (5) options, however #5 specifically addresses concrete tee's where none of the other four do, am I therefore limited to only option #5?
