Greg,
We've been using 2: hole straps with 1/4" powder driven studs for "Decades"
here in South Florida. Check the hanger listing material for the CPVC pipe you
are using. You have to hang this stuff every 6 feet and I don't think you have
to add the 250# if you check the listing.
Get in first and run tight to the slab...like electrical conduit. John W.

I have spent hours researching various methods of hanging CPVC to concrete
slabs.Other than a traditional drop in anchor and all thread rod, there is not
really a viable alternative.
Points of interest:
1) removing the bonnet from a hang ring voids the listing.2) Hanger rings
without the bonnet (from the factory) are not listed for cpvc3) One hole straps
cannot be used to hang pipe upside down from the slab.4) Two hole straps cannot
be attached with 3/8" bolts or rods without modification to the hole size -
which voids the listing.5) Two hole straps cannot be hung with powder driving
pins in post tension slabs because there is  a max hanger depth of 3/4" - the
highest rating we found was exactly 125 lbs...so even with 2 of them you do not
meet the "250 lbs plus 5x the weight of the water filled pipe" requirement.
It would seem that we are well behind the times in addressing this issue as an
industry. Just noting....
