If the PDF is a Vector PDF, then AutoCAD will import it as a background. You can scale it up pretty good. I've only seen it off by very little. The software to convert has gotten better over the years. It used to be horrible. Also, if it is a non-vector PDF, then the conversion can be a nightmare.

Hi Mike,
I thought was my architect responding to my request for CAD files, back to your issue with 30 years experience and using AutoCAD since 1982 I went through all even lawyer s got involve. My experience in converting PDF to CAD IS ALMOST impossible to get the accuracy and not to mention after the conversion it takes tidious work and the accuracy is often more than 1/8" Wich is about 1 foot when is final. My rule of thumb is that a PDF file is like looking at a picture of your girlfriend, can't do much about.

Is there anyway that one can convert it to a CAD file?
